Purposes For The NCS Pre-Test Examination

1.
System Familiarization
It allows candidates to practice how to log in, use the portal, and understand the test environment.
This reduces anxiety and confusion on the main exam day.
2. Facial Verification Test
Since the CBT uses webcam facial recognition, the pre-test checks if your camera, internet, and device work properly.
If your device fails verification during the pre-test, you’ll know early enough to fix it.
3. Instruction Practice
Candidates will learn how to read and follow the rules (e.g., no noise, no distractions, no switching tabs).
It trains you to avoid behaviors that can cause automatic disqualification in the real CBT.
4. Technical Readiness
It ensures your laptop/desktop, webcam, browser, and internet connection can handle the test smoothly.
Any problem (like poor camera quality, internet drop, or login issues) can be corrected before the actual CBT.
5. Fairness & Transparency
By standardizing the process, NCS makes sure all candidates have equal knowledge of how the system works before the real exam.
_____________________________________________________________________ In summary:
The pre-test is like a practice run or rehearsal — it doesn’t decide if you pass or fail, but it prepares you to succeed and avoid mistakes in the real exam.
